I am stunned every day at the new things you're doing and how much you move me. Today I went to visit you at lunch as usual and after you nursed, you crawled over to an exersaucer toy and pulled up on it. Then you let go by yourself! This is the first time you've done that intentionally. You'd done it a couple times before over the last few weeks if you'd gotten distracted. This was the first time you wanted to stand by yourself for the sake of standing.
Your teacher, Cheryl, and I clapped and cheered. You listened calmly, then put your hand back on the exersaucer and smiled. I love your smile so much.
Lately people are repeating 3 things to me. The first is that you'll be walking before Christmas. That's a few days before you turn 9 months old. The second thing is that I'm very good with you. I like to hear that, since I'm just making it up as I go along. The last thing I've heard for months, from a lot of people. They all say how smart you are. You watch and listen and you seem to think things through. Since I've been with you at lunch I can compare your personality to others and I can see why people say that. its easier to pick out traits when you see a bunch of different babies together.
We went to Florida December 1-8 to meet your great grandma and see grandma again. You had such a good time. Everyone loves you. Your older cousin Lily was there with her mom Heather too.
I will try to write more often. I am having the best time of my life with you. I've never been so happy. You are happy too, growing fast, learning so much, and bringing everyone such joy.
